Every plan is 1:1 — there's no generic meal plan or cookie-cutter protocol. You get customized guidance based on your labs, health history, and goals.
Yes — Options 1 and 2 can be billed through insurance. Many PPO plans cover nutrition counseling for qualifying conditions like weight management, prediabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. Option 3 is a self-pay entry-level plan. During your free info call, we'll help you verify your specific coverage and explain what to expect out-of-pocket.
Option 2 (Lifestyle + Medication) pairs Mona's full nutrition coaching program with GLP-1 medication management through licensed medical partners — Mona herself does not prescribe. The medical team handles prescribing, dosage adjustments, and monitoring, while Mona ensures your nutrition and lifestyle protocol maximizes results and minimizes side effects. This coordinated approach is what separates this program from standalone medication-only options.

Every session is 1:1 with a licensed RDN (not a health coach or app algorithm), and plans are rebuilt from scratch based on your labs and history, not generic templates. Yes. Mona has both personal experience with menopause-related weight changes and deep clinical expertise in this area. Hormonal shifts during perimenopause and menopause directly affect metabolism, insulin sensitivity, sleep, and fat distribution — and standard weight loss advice often fails because it ignores these changes. The Root & Rise program is specifically designed to work with your body's hormonal reality, not against it.
Your first session is a comprehensive intake covering your full health history, current labs (or guidance on which labs to request), eating patterns, sleep quality, stress levels, and activity. Mona reviews everything before your session so you're not starting from zero. By the end, you'll have a clear picture of what's driving your current challenges and a first draft of your personalized protocol. Sessions are typically 60–75 minutes.
Yes — all sessions are available via telehealth. Mona holds a California virtual practice license, so clients throughout California can participate fully online via secure video. In-person sessions in Encino are also available by request. The program is designed to fit a busy schedule — no commuting required.
You receive 23 downloadable, reusable meal plans — one for each week of the program — each with a matching grocery list. Plans are built around your preferences, dietary restrictions, and goals. They're designed to be practical: real food, reasonable prep time, and flexible enough to adapt to restaurant meals and family dinners. Nothing requires exotic ingredients or hours in the kitchen.
Options vary by plan. Month-to-month flexibility is available, as are discounted 3-month and 6-month commitments for clients who want to lock in a lower rate. The full Root & Rise program runs 23 weeks — long enough to see meaningful, lasting metabolic change. Shorter commitments are available but Mona will be honest if she thinks a longer runway gives you a better outcome.
No problem — Mona works alongside your existing prescriber. If you're already on semaglutide, tirzepatide, or another GLP-1 medication, the Root & Rise program integrates with your current prescription. Mona coordinates with your doctor to ensure your nutrition protocol supports the medication's mechanism and manages common side effects (nausea, appetite suppression, muscle loss) through targeted dietary adjustments.
